Tomorrow is a non-uniform day for the whole school. The WSA have requested that children not wearing uniform bring in a donation for the Autumn Fair tombola such as: small gifts, chocolates, toys and toiletries. More details can be found on the poster located around the school. Thank you!
I'm very pleased to tell everyone that in the next few weeks we are going to be launching our very own Windmill School app. At the moment the final adjustments are being made before it is submitted to Apple for approval in their App Store!
Keep an eye out for the new Year 3 noticeboard on the main playground next to the height giraffe and the doors the Y3 children use each day!
27 boys from year 4,5 and 6 went down to Magdalen School to play rugby on Monday. The more experienced boys went down 4 tries to 2 and played some excellent rugby. Gavin Allinson

A message about the Autumn Fair! Autumn Fayre meeting We are holding a meeting on Monday 8th September at 8pm in the Butchers Arms to plan this year’s Autumn Fayre, which is going to be held on Saturday the 11th of October. This is a really big event in the school calendar as well as being an important fund raiser for the school. Hope everyone had a good first day back! We are aware of some problems with lunch timimgs for Upper KS2 children having hot dinners due to large numbers of children choosing that option. We are adapting our current system to make things as fast as possible!
Back to school today! See you all in 45 minutes! Most children will be meeting their teachers in the big playground. Year 6 and Year 2 will be in the middle playground and FS children straight to classes.

The forecast looks good and it is SPORTS DAY! KS1 on the field from 9.15am with KS2 following this afternoon at 1.30pm. Hats, sun cream and water bottles are all advisable!
6AH are off to the JR Hospital today and the forecast is not good! Please make sure you bring a coat!
The Comic relief Cafe will be open from 2.30pm in the hall today. Please come along to support a great cause!

Friday is Comic Relief! We have done lots of dressing up recently so on Friday children can wear their own clothes in return for a £1 donation towards Comic Relief. There will be a Comic Relief cafe in the hall after school from 2.30pm with cakes, games and the all important joke book on sale!
Comic Relief/Windmill School Joke Books will be on sale today and Wednesday from 3pm at the front of the school if dray or the middle playground if wet. The Comic Relief cafe will also be on Friday in the hall from 2.30pm!
Parents Evening sign up sheets will be going up near to your childs classroom today!

We know everyone made such a huge effort with Mr Bean Day but it is World Book Day on Friday 6th March! It would be great to get as many people as possible dressed as a book character as we can. Costumes can be a simple or as elaborate as you would like. More details were in last weeks green newsletter.
It is dress as Mr Bean day today! Comic Relief will be here to take promotional photos and Radio Oxford will be broadcasting live from the school around 9.30/10am.
Come to school as Mr Bean this Friday! Here are our top tips on how to dress as Mr Bean! Try to wear: school shoes, white shirt/t-shirt, jacket (borrow from Mum or Dad if you can!), a red tie (make it from paper if you need to) and any other Mr Bean themed props!
