Description

The Windsor Castle Inn once had its own brewery located directly over the road. This brewery, the Windsor Brewery was bought from the Crowson family in 1899 by the Heavitree Brewery. The brewery was shutdown by the Heavitree brewery in 1902 and for years the site was left derelict until it was cleared and the new housing scheme built in the late 1980's. The pub however still exists and is a friendly, traditional local pub.

How To Get to Windsor Castle Inn

Local City Stagecoach bus services run until approximately 11 pm at night. The main services are: A, D and R (S). The A route, from the City Centre stops right opposite the pub in North Street, Heavitree. The D and R (S) services nearest stop is outside the Co-Op Supermarket, in Fore Street, Heavitree, just less than a minutes walk away. Please see the map for details.
