Description
This class is a two-week intensive study of how to collaborate effectively. It includes the following: the ART of Communication (a skills-based, practical strategy for dealing with difficult people) the Exchange (a four stage conflict management process to help others work through issues), handling emotions (yours and theirs), strategic communication skills, collaborating through cultural differences, and facilitating groups. There will be time for practicing the strategies with realistic situations. Feedback and coaching will be provided. Local guest lecturers will provide real world examples of intercultural collaboration (the city of Barcelona and the European Union) as well as other topics of interest.
