The Wisconsin Track Club is a competitive sports club at UW - Madison in which students can compete in Cross Country and Track and Field
The Wisconsin Track Club was founded in 1991 to foster interest in the sports of track and field and cross-country and to provide athletes of all abilities with the chance to train together. WTC teams participate in NCAA Division III track and cross-country meets around Madison, WI, as well as NIRCA club-run events all over the country. We sponsor a series of low-key, neighborhood track meets on Thursdays in the summer at the McClimon track as well as a number of road races in and near Madison. Cross country workouts September-October. Meet at the corner of Langdon and Park. Track workouts at the Shell (January-March), or at McClimon (April-May).

Thanks to everyone that came out to our summer events: Summer Track Series and the Capitol Mile. We know there were some headaches but overall we thought both events were a success. Our club is completely run by students here at UW - Madison, but these events were planned by two of our club mentors Jim Reardon and Paul Turpin. WTC is now switching gears into a more competitive season as we move away from volunteering at events and focus on competing in cross country and track and field for the rest of year. Again thanks for coming out and see you guys next year!

Thanks to everyone that came out to our first annual Moovin' 5K we had over 70 people come and compete! Part of the funds that we raised was donated to ACT (Achieving Collaborative Treatment) and will help pay for kids with autism to join their running camp this summer! We are glad to help them out and look forward to volunteering with the kids again this summer!
Our website is fixed! You can now sign up for the MOOvin' 5k! On Saturday, April 18th we are hosting our first ever 5k fundraiser race, deemed the Moovin 5k after our mascot, the cow. There will be cash prizes (1st place: $50, 2nd place: $25 for each gender). Proceeds will go towards subsiding meet costs for our athletes. A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to Achieving Collaborative Treatment (ACT), which is a charity organization that provides therapy for and promotes physical activity in children with cognitive disabilities (www.actreatment.com). There will be tech t's included for people who sign up early. Cost to compete is $20 and the race will be held on the west side of campus starting in the fields pass the natatorium.
