Description

The Midwives and staff of Womancare Midwives are committed to providing quality care to women of all abilities, age, class, economic status, educational background, ethnicity, gender, language, race, religion, reproductive and parenting decisions, and sexual orientation. We pride ourselves in fostering an environment that is welcoming, safe, accessible, and inclusive for all. We are primary care givers who are experts in normal pregnancy. Our scope includes the ability to order all blood tests, other lab work and ultrasounds that are usually part of normal pregnancy care. Prenatally, you will be given information about what to expect and when to notify your midwife that you are in labour. Often a midwife will come to your home to assess you during labour. We will be present during your active labour and birth, and stay until 2 to 4 hours after the birth. In the first week after the birth, we will come to you to provide three postpartum visits.
