Taking back Kansas by uniting & activating moderate, independent & progressive women - www.WomenForKansas.org Nearly 500 women from 88 communities across the state attended our convention over Labor Day weekend to take back Kansas.

Description

The mission of Women for Kansas is to unite and activate moderate, independent, and progressive women across the state for the purpose of electing representatives who value: ~ a fair, progressive tax system that adequately funds public services, including public education, the arts, and healthcare; ~ a court system free from political influence; ~ voting rights for all citizens; ~ equal access for immigrant families; and ~ dignity and opportunity for all.

Calls are answered by experienced reference/research librarians at the State Library of Kansas and kept confidential. Lines are open weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Callers can leave brief messages to be delivered to legislators as well as request copies of bills, calendars, journals, committee agendas, voting records, and other legislative documents. In addition to calling the hotline, residents can text questions to 785-256-0733 (standard text message rates may apply), instant message at www.kslib.info/ask-a-librarian, or visit the State Library. The State Library is located in the north wing, on the third floor of the Kansas Capitol Building.
