Helping women fight their #1 killer - heart disease and stroke. #FightTheLadykiller #getHeartChecked
Our research uncovers a disconnect. A woman’s heart is different than a man’s, yet women’s hearts are under-researched, go untreated and are misdiagnosed. We want women of every age, ethnicity and background to rally together to fight the Ladykiller. The Women's Heart Alliance is a unique collaboration between two of America’s leading medical institutions, the Barbra Streisand Women’s Heart Center at Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute and the Ronald O. Perelman Heart Institute at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and two major philanthropists in business and entertainment, Barbra Streisand and Ronald O. Perelman. The Women’s Heart Alliance is a project of the Tides Center, a 501(c) 3 organization. The Women’s Heart Alliance was formed to raise awareness, encourage action and drive new research to fight women’s heart disease.
