Hello, my beautiful friends and family! I am starting this page to enhance the lives of those who desire to become healthy: Mind, Body and Soul. Maybe you are an old pro to a healthy lifestyle, you struggle or this is your first step. It doesn't matter what stage you are in, how young or old you are; all are invited to join, support and share with one-another. About me: I have always had an interest in health. It's in my blood. On my Dad's side of the family as a little child I can remember my Grandparents having a tableful of vitamins. The thought of those vitamins and the smell, sticks in my head as if it were yesterday. On my Moms side my grandmother cooked from scratch and taught my mother and I to do the same. My parents had a huge garden and a treat to me was picking a fresh sun ripened tomato and eating it like an apple. My father ran in road races and trained us as children to do the same. He also came up with weird and strange concoctions for natural healing. I loved it! As much as I have had an interest in health and wellness; I have actually struggled with my own health. My mother spent many nights staying up and watching over me as a child as I have struggled with my Asthma and bouts of Phenomena. My immune system has been weak. I lost 1/2 a lung in my early 20's, struggled with body image as a teen and adult, Glycemia, chronic pain, headaches, Weight-gain, memory fog, a vitamin deficiency and so on... Each day is a new day for me. I THOUGHT I was living healthy; but I am learning everyday and eliminating the toxins from my body and my environment. I am a spit-fire, carefree mom who refuses to give up on life. 1 1/2 years ago I struggled to get out of bed after working ONE day. The pain and lack of energy was unreal. Today, I am much happier and healthier and push myself on the bad days to rise above and beyond. If I can do it... YOU CAN DO IT!
