Description

woollaa.com is a new online platform for personalized knitwear. Users can design scharfs, cushions, baby blankets and plaids and have them individually produced on an industrial knitting machine as a unique piece – made in Germany (and by you). The ShareShawl is the first edition of Woollaa and will be launched on November 1, 2015 as a limited edition. The ShareShawl is in total 4.368 meter long and consists of 1.820 single pieces which look all different but still fit together. You can mix your personal colour mood using 16 different colours and like that find the piece in the shawl perfectly matching your choice. You can add your name or an individual text message which will be knitted into the shawl. Each ShareShawl is a unique piece only existing once. Your shawl with your colours and your pattern cannot be produced anymore by someone else. The ShareShawl connects hundreds of people from all around the world. The ShareShawl is based on a concept by Tamara van Roij, M&C Department at the Design Academy Eindhoven.
