We'd like to do a service on Monday for lunch but don't have a location. Any suggestions?
Health Department inspection at 9am tomorrow. One more step to opening the window.
Hamilton licensing all applied for. Waiting on health Department for inspection and we're good to go. Our license #354........So pleased with the progress..
Update; We passed the TSSA field inspection with flying colours today. Next step is getting all the paperwork together for license application with the City of Hamilton. I'll have all that together before Monday. Hopefully we can have the Health Inspection and licensing complete sometime next week. A long and tedious process that is soon behind us..........I can't wait to hand that first wrap out the window. I wonder who'll get the first one?
Update; Being difficult works........I called the TSSA head office in Toronto this morning and started to raise shit. I complained about the service, the cost, the complacency and the total lack of professionalism all very calmly and concise. Field inspection is now booked for 10:30am tomorrow. I hate the fact that you have to take it that far just to get the service you deserve out the gate. Our truck will never have any of those traits associated with it. My promise to you...... Wish us luck.
Update. We got through the engineering half the TSSA after 14 working days and now have the field inspection part to pass. I've called three times and left messages, emailed twice. No response from our inspector to date. Tomorrow I will call the head office and try to elevate this to a manager or whatever they prefer to be called. This is a government agency I believe in but they're making it hard to like them........ cross your fingers that that being annoying speeds things up.
After fourteen working days TSSA has given us the ok on the engineering side. I have written five emails and three phone calls all ignored and unanswered. I opted for the "expedited" double the cost to speed the process up but our agent wasn't interested in doing anything in a timely or professional manner. My email today was forceful and questioned the charges for not so expedited service. He signed off very quickly and handed the process off to the next stage.....Field inspection. I call the assigned inspector to set up an appointment and he said his first available day was September 13th!!!!! I mentioned that this was suppose to "expedited" and the whole process was 5 to 10 days total. How can you deal with these people? I will make his life miserable, this is my promise to you. I will be relentless in my pursuit of this inspection. I will sit outside his house playing ice cream truck music if I have to........just saying.
Why is it necessary to hide regulations so no matter how much due diligence you do......... it's hidden!!!! Last minute scramble to make the festival. Cross your fingers all, honestly we really do want to spoil you
We did the generator start up today, works like a charm and very quiet. Can barely hear it in the truck. Come on TSSA, let's get this field inspection going!
There's a debate as to what colour we paint the rims. Black or white. Suggestions?
We have confirmed "Festival of Friends". Baptism by fire, it's rather appropriate considering the name.
Found our POS system and ordered the stand. We'll have credit card capabilities.
