Hello everyone! Since you all are a part of the community now, you should know about an upcoming event that will alter the Deaf community in Kansas for a long time. It is vitally important to our community to work with KCDHH to receive superior services for the Deaf in our region. This includes interpreter quality service, government services such as VR or Social Security, as well as other services KCDHH's goal is to serve the Deaf and Hard of Hearing people that live in Kansas. The key in helping our community is to speak up and make issues known to the new leadership. If you do not speak up, no one can help improve unsatisfactory conditions. If you have knowledge of a good system outside of our state, please come and share so that our system can be improved! The new Executive Director wants YOU to get involved! When: November 15, 2014, 10:00am to 12:00pm Where: Wichita State University, Rhatigan Student Center, Room 265 (Lucas Room) Why: To get an update on the interpreter certification policies and procedures for the state of Kansas How: In person at WSU or by video-conferencing
