Description

Global Medical Brigades is a secular, international student-operated volunteer organization whose mission is to provide sustained health care to underserved communities throughout the world. Our Wayne State University Chapter recruits student volunteers and medical professionals, gathers medicine, and then travels overseas to perform these medical brigades. With a team of dedicated students, professors, and physicians, we are scheduled to travel to Panama in August 2014 to conduct our first medical brigade mission. Participating students will also visit several community projects that aim to also better the quality of life in these impoverished areas. Global Medical Brigades is a division of Global Brigades International, a 100% non-profit organization that is entirely student led and committed to sustainable, long-term development in impoverished regions of the world. At only $820 + Airfare, we are proud to represent the most affordable study abroad option available on campus.
