While Federal, State and County grant funds allow us to care for HIV positive youth, the care of high-risk HIV negative youth is largely dependent on the donations of private individuals and foundations. Additionally, we are sponsored by the Lazydays Employee Foundation, an organization well known for their commitment to serving homeless youth in our community. Most recently, we have entered into a collaborative relationship with the Florida Department of Health, serving as a primary site for comprehensive family planning services (Title X contract). Collaborative relationships also exist with DACCO (Drug Abuse Comprehensive Counseling Office, in house risk reduction counseling and referrals), the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay (in house sexual trauma counseling and referrals), and the Lazydays Homeless Youth Program at Camelot Community Care (in house program intakes for homeless youth). We also have a referral relationship with the Hillsborough County Public School system. Finally, the YYC is home to several prevention and other NIH-funded research projects which assist with operational funding. The YYC is actively engaged in the Ybor community. Our board members are representative of the populations we serve and the community in which we live. Through our membership in the Gaybor Business Coalition, we have a collegial relationship with area business leaders and community stakeholders, as well as access to many hard to reach and high-risk youth in places where they are known to congregate. We also enjoy active engagement of USF organizations and individuals, including the College of Medicine (with multiple student volunteers), the College of Public Health, and the Student Health Services clinic; collaboration with the Colleges of Social Work and Nursing are also in the planning process.
