I practice Hatha Yoga using a universal path as I have been influenced by other schools of yoga so I take the best and add them to the traditional methods that I also use and respect.. I have been practicing yoga for 20 years and teaching for 15 years now. I love yoga and all that it gives me. A healthy lifestyle with a positive outlook, and a healthy body. Yoga has got me through some traumatic times in my life because it taught me how to cope with stress and more importantly how to let go of it. It's when we hold on to stress that we invite physical and mental illness into our body and mind. Yoga dates back to 5000 BC and is a wonderful therapy that is still as valuable today as it was then.
I completed YTTC Stage 1 & 2 Teacher Training ( 2002 & 2004) and am also a qualified Yoga Therapist (2012) and keep my own practice up to date by going to Teacher Training Courses taken by the world's leading and also leading Irish Teachers
In 2013/14 and 2015/2016 I completed Advanced Teacher Training modules with Lisa Peterson in Dublin who is Donna Farhi's ( one of the world's leading Hatha Yoga teachers') co teacher.
Between 2011 and 2013 I studied advanced meditation practices, The Kriyas, Prana Vidya and Karma Yoga with Swami Vibhooti Saraswati. In 2016 I completed Prana Vidya again with Swami Gyana Dharma in Mandala Yoga Ashram. In 2017 I completed Antar Mouna course with Swami Gyan Dharma.
I teach 4 week meditation classes giving people a sample of different meditation practices they can use themselves at home.
I have training in teaching Yoga to Special Needs Adults and have carried out classes for the Belfast Trust this year.
