YEAH focuses on one of the leading causes of the achievement gap in education: the opportunity gap. Our programs fill in some of the missing pieces for students facing a scarcity of educational and social opportunities by virtue of their familial or social situations. Students participating in YEAH typically: •Would be first in their family to go to college •Live in low-income households, often with one parent, guardian or foster parent •Attend public schools •Have average grade points YEAH offers a series of year-long programs that begin with the summer before 9th grade and extend through 12th grade. The four-year continuum offers distinct programs and activities for each of the grades 9 through 12.

We equip girls with the skills to exercise the power of their voice. At GL, we offer camps and workshops designed to teach girls, educators and parents the core practices of emotional intelligence, healthy relationships, and assertive self-expression. Taught by professional, salaried instructors, all GL programs use interactive lessons and theatre-based techniques to help girls connect with their emotions and practice the tools of building healthy, authentic relationships. The courses are age-appropriate and progressive, following girls’ developmental needs from grade school through high school.
