About Your Yoga... My goal is your goal, obtain a deeper understanding of our body/mind/spirit connection through movement and intention. I focus on breathing, meditation, chakra points, and energy channels. Whether you’ve been practicing for years or this is your first time trying yoga, we are all yogis sharing our practice with each other. Through asana (yoga posture) we begin our practice and welcome the space within and without. As teacher and student, I lead and learn and practice as we continue as individuals and as a class down the path we have chosen. Come share your practice with us. About Me... As a 20 year Chicago resident, I have had many jobs throughout the city: retail, floral design, merchandising design, restaurant, etc. and all have brought me both joy and pain. From the joy of building personal and professional relationships with people to the pain of carrying a 50 pound box over my head up 3 flights of stairs! I began practicing yoga 3 years ago on the advice of a friend and found the experience to be profound and inspirational in both my life and in my work. I noticed the strength, flexibility, and stamina I gained in my practice begin to seep into my everyday life, pushing me to be more and do more. Yoga inspired me to call on my higher self to do my very best. I hope it can do the same for you. Be Prepared... Bring a yoga mat and a towel (extra mats are available if you do not own one), wear loose, comfortable, light fitting clothing, hydrate and try not to eat anything too heavy right before class. Class begins on time, so try and get there approximately 10 minutes before so we can all get settled and situated. Fresh fruit and water are provided for after class. $10 suggested donation.
