http://www.twitter.com/ldabc http://www.youtube.com/user/ldabc It is estimated that one in ten people in BC – approximately 400,000 – from all age, ethnic, and social groups, are affected by learning disabilities. Founded in 1973, The Learning Disabilities Association of British Columbia (LDABC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the well being of people with Learning Disabilities. The association provides information, resources, programs and services to ensure the full participation of children, youth and adults with LD in today’s society. We work closely with the community to conduct studies on the topic of learning disabilities and to raise awareness about important learning disabilities issues. LDABC advocates for government policies to protect and strengthen rights and opportunities for people with learning disabilities, to enable them to function as citizens with equitable opportunities and to develop their individual potential.
