Description
As a firefighter I have seen the struggles my colleagues and fellow 1st responders face and dealing with the stress of the demands is not always easy. Through a genuine desire to help I searched for ways to lessen the impact on both the physical and mental health of my colleagues. Research and my own personal experiences kept leading me back to yoga. Incorporating intentional deep breathing, stimulating the relaxation response combined with mindful movement that works every part of the body has been proven to aid in the prevention of Operational Stress Injuries.
