We commit to address our state’s racial, political, economic, health, environmental and educational inequities in North Carolina.

Description

Our Intent: Educate and mobilize citizens with the tools to take charge of their communities using inclusive, committed organizing strategies; and engage with others to advance community based political solutions. Develop practical, genuine, solution based platforms at the local and state levels; involving black citizens and their allies. Organize around a common vision for a better NC that aspires to address the needs of all its residents equally and confronts the ongoing legacy of racial, political, economic and educational inequality. Recruit, train and advocate black candidates for elected and appointed positions in local, county and statewide offices; advocate for the election of candidates who identify with the platform/agenda of Advance Carolina. Work in alliance and coordination with other progressive networks and organizations that share Advance Carolina's vision for North Carolina and the southern United States.
