Hello, my name is Alexandra and I live in Essex with my partner and my little ones Mimi and Lana. I’ve always had a love of art and crafts from as far back as I can remember. I was one of those children who loved making things and my Mum and Dad are proud owners of countless handmade Christmas and birthday cards! After leaving school I went to Art College and then onto University to study Three Dimensional Design. It was here that I learnt my first silversmithing skills and cemented my love of making jewellery. During this period I also dabbled in painting and photography, two things that I still enjoy to this day and squeeze in whenever possible, but not quite to the same extent as my jewellery making. Initially I used my designing and making skills to benefit my friends and family, in fact to this day I still send some handmade cards and many of my female relatives and friends have received jewellery as presents! I then began to receive commissions, friends of friends who had seen my jewellery started asking me to make specific pieces of jewellery to go with an outfit that they had for a special occasion. Included in these commissions I have made matching necklace, bracelet and earring sets for two ladies for very special occasions, one Mother of the Bride and one Mother of the Groom. It was a huge responsibility and I was ecstatic when they were both thrilled with the jewellery that I had made for them to compliment their wedding outfits. It was then that I realised that my jewellery was hitting the spot, so I decided to start designing and making a whole range ... and to cut a long story short, here I am today. My jewellery designs are based around my love of all things natural. All of my jewellery is handmade using naturally occurring materials; semi-precious stones, pearls, wood and silver. I have also recently been altering, redesigning and repairing old jewellery, so if you have a beloved piece of jewellery that has broken, or some beads from a necklace that you want made into a new piece of jewellery please contact me and I will hopefully be able to help you. Finally, I just want to share my philosophy with you, which is to design and make jewellery that I’d love to wear myself, I truly believe that if I absolutely love it then you all will too!
