The district serves students in pre-Kindergarten through twelfth grade.As of the 2011-12 school year, the district's 10 schools had an enrollment of 6,679 students and 671.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.95:1.Students from Brigantine, Longport, Margate City and Ventnor City attend Atlantic City High School as part of sending/receiving relationships with the respective school districts.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "A", the lowest of eight groupings.
