Dr. McElveen has owned and operated Bare Medicine in Springvale, ME since November 2009. As a naturopathic doctor, she focuses on treating the cause, rather than just managing symptoms. Dr. McElveen treats the person, not the condition, and uses whatever integrative methods are appropriate for each patient, including nutrition, botanical medicine, energetic medicine, homeopathy, physical medicine and lifestyle changes. Pharmaceuticals are prescribed when needed. Bare Medicine provides a general family practice, seeing patients over the age of 3 for anything ranging from colds and flus to chronic illnesses like Lyme Disease, cancer, IBD/IBS, diabetes and more. Bare Medicine is currently accepting new patients and our scheduling button can get you scheduled in minutes anytime, anywhere. Our website also offers our New Patient Intake Form so you can fill it out before your appointment. We are a self-pay practice, meaning payment is due in full at time of service and we do not bill insurance. We do however give each patient a superbill containing all the codes and fee descriptions necessary for insurance reimbursement if the patient chooses to submit it. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, cash or check (HSA checks/credit cards are welcome too).
