Drunkenness on the part of any participant will not be tolerated. Please observe all Coast Guard regulations. 3. ELIGIBILITY: Sigma Nu’s and person(s) directly/indirectly connected to a Sigma Nu and is at least 18 years of age is eligible to participate in the Sigma Nu Fishing Tournament. Children or other dependents of participants are not eligible to participate unless they meet the above criteria. There will be no exceptions to this rule. NOTE: Questions of eligibility will be answered by the Sigma Nu Tournament Hosts. If you have any questions regarding eligibility of a sponsor or participant, call (225) 485-6127. All decisions of the screening committee are final. 4. REGISTRATION: • Each participant will sign in at the tournament and receive a wrist band. • A wrist band is non-transferable after registration. • The wrist band will identify you as part of the tournament and provide access to the dinners, weigh in, and door prizes. If lost, only extreme cases will come before a selective committee for scrutiny. • Registration times are: Friday – 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday – 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 5. ENTRIES: All sponsorships must be paid by May 1, 2013 to be guaranteed recognition at the tournament. 6. SPONSORSHIPS: Sponsorships for the 2013 Invitational will be $150.00 each, and if you would like your company logo displayed on the banner along with your company name, please email your logo to overalld@coastalbridge.com. 7. DOOR PRIZES: Because this is the first annual fishing tournament and rules must be planned in advance, we only have 4 fishing prize categories and will only award a prize to the top fish in each category. HOWEVER, we will keep track of the top 10 fish in each category. For every fish that makes the top 10, the respective participant who entered the fish will be given a ticket number. We will draw at random as many tickets as we have door prizes and the more fish you put on the board, the greater your chances. 8. BOUNDARIES: Louisiana state waters and offshore waters. 9. TACKLE: Artificial, cut and/or live bait may be used. Only rod and reel outfits may be used. Trolling is permitted. 10. FISH CATEGORIES: INSHORE: Redfish/Drum/Sheepshead (1 Places) Speckled Trout (1 Places) OFFSHORE: Red Snapper (1 Places) BIGGEST LEGAL FISH OF ANY KIND - Other than category (1 Place) The angler with the top fish in their respective category is guaranteed one prize in that category. The prizes will be awarded as follows: The winning names will be entered into a drawing and the first name chosen will have first pick of the available prizes, then the second name drawn will have 2nd pick of the 3 remaining prizes, and so on. EACH PARTICIPANT CAN WIN ONLY 1 PLACE PER CATEGORY. 13. FISHING HOURS: Fishing hours will begin 12:01 a.m. Saturday morning, June 8, 2013 and conclude at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013. It is the responsibility of each participant to understand and abide by the prescribed fishing hours and weight-in times, as they will be strictly enforced. Official time will be kept by the weigh-in committee at the weigh-in site. 14. DAILY SCALE WEIGH-IN HOURS: Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Fish will be weighed and returned. 15. TIES: In the event of a tie in any category, the first fish weighed will prevail. All decisions by the LA. Dept. of Wildlife & Fisheries agent/weigh master are final.
