We are the official charity supporting all the work of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board; more than 300 different wards and departments. Your donations don't replace NHS money; they provide things over and above what the NHS can, and support pioneering and innovative work for the benefit of those that need expert healthcare in Cardiff, the Vale of Glamorgan, and the whole of Wales. Our registered charity number (RCN) is 1056544. Our endowment funds, each dedicated to a particular area of healthcare and managed by specialists in those areas, are used to develop research, treatment and patient care. There are currently six appeals: The Make it Better Fund (General Purpose), The Breast Centre Appeal, based in University Hospital Llandough, The Better Life Appeal, for the All Wales Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre, The Route 66 Appeal, for palliative care for 16-25 year olds The Prop Appeal, supporting head injury wards at Rookwood Hospital, and The Asset Appeal, supporting stroke services.
