From the Peterborough Indigenous Community Organizations On behalf of the Indigenous Community Organizations from Nogojiwanong (Peterborough), let us show you how we welcome diversity. To both returning and new students please join us at our Welcoming Celebration where you can experience a home away from home. The day will be filled with fun activities for students, community members and children. Through traditional teachings and foods, crafts and workshops, music and dance, come see what our beautiful territory is all about! This first time event will take place at Del Crary Park on Saturday, September 27th from 10AM to 430PM. There is no cost for admission.

It's that time of year again! If you are in the Study Abroad Program and have been accepted and placed in a school for the upcoming Fall semester, here is your chance to apply for the Shawn T. Callaghan Memorial Grant. This award was put into place to commemorate the late Sean Callaghan, who passed away while traveling abroad in 2007. In order to be eligible for this award you simply have to have an average of 75% or higher. All you have to do is send in a letter of intent with your name and student number by March 27th to email@example.com, the Cultural Affairs Representative for Champlain College. Don't be afraid to highlight not only your relationship and contributions to Champlain College but to the TIP Office as well. Two references must also be included. Did I mention that you can be awarded up to $1,000?!? We have a very exciting week at Champlain College. Cabinet nomination forms are available and due by 4pm on Friday, West Bank Love tshirt orders (only $10!) are due Wednesday, there is a social media contest with the hashtag #myWBL, and a skating event at the Lift Locks on Friday. Cabinet members will be doing their office hours in the Great Hall all week to provide information on all of this fun!
Finals of the Ball Hockey Tournament are happening right now in the Great Hall! Come down and watch, and then stay for our AGM. There's free pizza!
