Cherry Tree Day Nursery is a family run Nursery, which has been open now for 15 years. New Manager Mrs Jennifer Ablett takes on the role alongside long standing Manager/Joint owner is Miss Amanda Lodge. Cherry Tree Day Nursery is situated near the centre of Wakefield, adjacent to Wakefield bus station, at the side of Marsh Way. The Nursery is Registered with Ofsted and the Nursery is Registered for 52 children age 0-5 years old. We have room separate rooms- Baby Room, Toddler Room with a sepreate sleeping room. We have 2 rooms for Pre-School on the lower floor and we have a safe and secure outdoor play area. All our rooms are bright and cheerful and well equipped, all our children work to follow the EYFS from our baby room up to our school room. All our children in the Nursery have their own key worker within the nursery setting, and all staff are qualified in child care, and all staff hold an up to date first aid certificate. We now offer EYFE 15 hours FREE Funding for children 3-5 years. Jennifer Ablett is the Safeguarding Coordinator for the setting, she attends training on a regular basis to ensure her knowledge of Child Protection is up to date with current legislation. Miss Lodge is the SENCO Coordinator for the setting, she has additional training as a Portage worker and works very closely with all parents and children and is on hand to give any advice where necessary in any subject on childcare. At Cherry Tree Day Nursery we recognize that learning should be fun, the nursery aims to provide a relaxed but structured environment within a safe, secure, stimulating and caring environment. We encourage children to become more independent, and to develop self confidence, and to express themselves openly. Each child's progress will be at a different level and individual achievement will vary. Staff to Child Ratio is 0-1 years old 1-3 Staff 2 years old 1-4 Staff 3-5 years old 1-8 Staff All meals are freshly cooked, daily, we cater for all children with special dietary requirements, and our staff have level 2 in Nutrition and health. We also grow our own vegetables, herbs and flowers. All our children take home a daily report which tells parents, about their day at nursery. We accept all childcare vouchers, and all major Credit Cards. We also cater for parents who work shifts, part and full time hours. We are open Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6pm We close all bank holidays and one week at Christmas.
