Description

Co-Pilot is a hand-held device designed to make life easier for people who have memory problems. It was designed as an aid to daily living for the elderly, and those with learning disabilities or early dementia. It has a very simple menu for the user, with easily recognisable icons; there's a clock which speaks the time of day and reminds the user whether it's morning, afternoon, evening or night. It can do several jobs: a caregiver can choose which of its functions are enabled on your Co-Pilot. Many functions can be customised to suit each individual user. Entertainment including the user's photos, music and film clips can be included for reminiscence therapy. It provides programmed reminders which can be set up in a Google calendar. Co-Pilot's setup is customised for each user through our website, and downloaded to Co-Pilot via its Internet connection - so there is no need for a carer to ever connect the tablet to a computer.
