Description

After spending several years as a marketing professional with a local media organization, I found myself frustrated with how often my clients needs weren’t being met, and how the wrong paths and ideas were being pursued time and again because “that’s the way things are done.” There had to be a better way, and I was determined to find it. I went back to college to study the current marketing landscape and discover what opportunities my clients were missing out on, learning what tactics multinational corporations are using in the 21st century and deciphering how best to utilize these tactics for local businesses. In 2016 I won the Ontario College’s Marketing Competition by developing a marketing plan for Xerox to appeal to millennials as a potential workplace. I’ve returned to my profession with more control over my destiny and the destinies of my clients in the best way I can: as a freelancer. I’m bringing all of the skills I’ve developed to the freelance world so that I can help small businesses tell their stories in social media and other marketing channels.
