Cringleford is a parish and village in Norfolk, England on the banks of the River Yare on the outskirts of Norwich. The village is in the South Norfolk local government district and is part of both the Norwich South Parliamentary constituency and Norfolk South Parliamentary constituency.A village existed here at least as early as Saxon times and there is evidence of human settlement in the area from Roman times and the Bronze Age.The size of the village is and the population of the village (including Intwood) at the time of the 2011 UK census was 2963. The population is likely to increase as a result of the current process of suburbanisation, with new housing development and improved transport links such as the Norwich South Bypass.
