Hello Everyone, There is a weather watch in effect, however this weather watch is scheduled to end early this evening. And again, while Thunderstorms are forecasted we do not cancel until we are at the field. What about rain? Unless our permit is cancelled by the city because there has been that much rain, we do not cancel due to rain, prior to an event. This decision is done at game time. If there is a cancellation, this facebook page will be used. Coaches will also contact team members At this point we will still meet tonight, for league play.
Wednesday June 3rd is the start of Crown Point Youth Soccer. And it should be a lot of fun. I'm hoping many of you have heard from your team coaches. However, I think there are a few stragglers who have not yet heard. I do hope that you will hear during the day (Wednesday June 3rd) If you haven't heard and you have registered make sure that you arrive at Gage Park for 6:30pm. There will be individuals available to help you find your team 6:35 is when league events start. When looking for your team look for Field signs. These will be on the nets, that the teams will be using. We meet in the South West corner of Gage Park. We are just in front of the tennis courts. Please remember to bring water bottles, for participants. Participants: if possible please wear the colour shirt that your coach has informed you to wear. Parking: There is some parking available in the Park, however if you can bike or walk that is encouraged. Equipment, running shoes are the only requirement, Having said that shins are encouraged, but not required. the same is true for cleats. What about rain? Unless our permit is cancelled by the city because there has been that much rain, we do not cancel due to rain, prior to an event. This decision is done at game time. If there is a cancellation, this facebook page will be used. Coaches will also contact team members Our evening will be done by 7:45pm Thank you to all the volunteers who are making this league a reality, and a special thank you to our partners who have done the same thing! Crown Point Community Planning Team, East Hamilton Boys and Girls Club, and New Hope Church See you on the Pitch!
Good Day, Thanks again to the many individuals who stepped forward and agreed to coach. Teams have now been formed and over next day or so, you will be contacted by one of your teams coaches. Looking forward to Wednesday night! Thanks,
Hello Everyone, June 3rd is fast approaching, and we are still making progress for our start date. I know that many of you are wondering about soccer, when it is starting, what team is my child on, etc... We want to answer those questions! I am happy to let you know that we will be able to communicate that information to you this week. We needed coaching assignments to be sorted out before we could make team assignments, and we did not have all of our coaches in place. Volunteers are the life blood of Crown Point Youth Soccer. Without volunteers Crown Point Youth Soccer would not be a reality. Since registration began, we have been seeking coaching volunteers, and for some reason this year it was harder to find those volunteer coaches. We can happily say that we now have the volunteers we need and we are ready to start the season! Over the next couple days, teams will be formed. Coaches will be given their team lists, and they will be contacting their teams, through email or phone call. We are still asking for your patience as we now move to this next phase in season planning. I thank you for your patience as we have been working through this situation. I would also like to say a huge thank you to all the individuals who have stepped forward and are willing to coach! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
We are still making preparations for our anticipated start date of June 3rd. However we do have an issue, we have a number of participants on the waiting list yet, because we are in need of individuals who could make themselves available to coach. We're looking for qualified individuals who could coach for Crown Point Youth Soccer. If you are interested in any way please contact Crown Point Youth Soccer. If you know of someone who would make a good coach, let them know and have them contact Crown Point Youth Soccer. You can message us through this Facebook page, or email firstname.lastname@example.org, Thank you from, Crown Point Youth Soccer
Hello Everyone, The start of Crown Point Youth Soccer is fast approaching. Wednesday June 3rd is our anticipated started for the 2015 season. As a league we are working on a number of details to make sure that the league will be ready. Volunteer Coaches are being contacted, other volunteer needs are being assessed and as a league we will be looking to post those needs. There is still a waiting list but as potential volunteers are contacted and are firmed up we are hoping to add more players to the league. This is a very busy time for us here and we are hoping to keep you all informed as best we can. Thank you,
Hello Facebook Followers, Registrations have been flowing into the Boys and Girls Club, this has been amazing. They have been coming in so fast that we have had to move into putting potential players on the waiting list. This is a positive problem. Can you help? We are looking for motivated, excited, passionate people who are able to volunteer their time this summer to make soccer an awesome experience for all those who will participate in our league this year! If you are interested in volunteering, as a coach, part of the field set up crew, or other vital roles please message Crown Point Youth Soccer and we will get you some necessary paper work. We are also looking for businesses and organizations who would be interested in sponsoring a team within the league this summer. If you know of anyone who might be interested please message Crown Point Youth Soccer and we would love to forward you a sponsorship form Thank you, From Crown Point Youth Soccer
Registration is now open, if you are interested in signing up for soccer this summer please head down to the Boys and Girls Club (45 Ellis Ave.) There are registration forms there.
Update: Please share We have heard that registrations have not yet started for Crown Point Youth Soccer. We would like to apologize for this inconvenience. We may have spoken to soon. We hope to inform you as soon as updated information becomes available.

If it is raining do I just assume that there will not be any soccer? No, unless you have been contacted notifying you of a cancellation. If it is raining and a cancellation has not been issued, please consider Crown Point Youth Soccer to be on. Some decisions regarding rain will be made game time. If there is sufficient rain to warrant a stoppage, players and their families will be asked to take shelter out of the rain. You are asked to wait for 15 minutes to see if play can resume. If after 15 minutes the weather continues families will be informed that the event has been cancelled.
Where do teams play? Our league will be playing in the southwest corner of Gage Park (west of the main parking lot just north of the tennis courts). Teams in Division 1 (4-5 year olds) will be in the area west of the tennis courts (in a large clearing under well mature trees). Teams in Division 2 (5-7 year olds) will be in the area directly north of the tennis courts.
Crown Point Youth Soccer is open to 4 – 7 year olds. Does this mean 4 year olds will be playing against 7 year olds? No, Crown Point Youth Soccer is operating 2 age divisions this season. Division 1 will include 5 teams of 4 and 5 year olds. Division 2 will include 5 teams of 5 to 7 year olds. Younger/less experienced 5 year olds will be placed in Division 1. Remaining 5 year olds will be placed in Division 2. (Player request will also have an impact on which division they will play.)
Don't forget, there's NO Crown Point soccer this week. We weren't able to get the fields because of a festival in Gage Park. See you next week!
Don't forget about picture night tomorrow! Everyone on the team will receive a photo keepsake of their season (individual photo and team photo) at no cost.
Does my child(ren) need any special equipment? No, while we strongly encourage that each participant has soccer shoes and shin pads, we are not making them a requirement. Children will receive a jersey as part of their teams uniform for the season.
What is Crown Point Youth Soccer? Crown Point Youth Soccer is in its fifth full season as a league. Our goal is to offer a quality low-cost soccer experience to the children of the Crown Point neighbourhood. Crown Point Youth Soccer desires to give children a recreation soccer experience, which means that children will learn how to play soccer and enjoy a team experience all while having fun. Crown Point Youth Soccer is made possible through partnership between New Hope Church, Hamilton East Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club and the Crown Point Community Planning Team. Crown Point Youth Soccer also received a grant from the Hamilton Community Foundation to help start the league.
Hello Everyone, Picture update, we have finally just the pictures organized and created. They have now sent away to be processed. We will get them to you as soon as we have them
Hi everyone! We have had a few messages from families who are looking for photos that they haven't received yet. Some are because the photos weren't available on the last night, and some because you may have missed the last night. We are working on the pictures that weren't available, but need just a bit of time to do so. Thank you for your patience while we figure this out! We will post pretty soon with a date/time when you can pick up your photos and any medals that may have been missed on the last night. Stay tuned!

Just a reminder that *we start at 6 pm this week*, a 1/2 hour earlier than usual, and that this is NOT the last week of Crown Point Youth Soccer. (We're teaming up with the Boys and Girls club this Wednesday, and their league ends this Wednesday, but we're continuing until SEPTEMBER 2ND.) You can enter at Gate 3. There is no dedicated parking for this event, so if you drive there you'll have to find parking along side streets and such. See you tomorrow!

We've been getting a lot of questions about the weather. If the weather is hot we will continue to play, but we encourage coaches to take more frequent water breaks! With the start of construction of the new pump track in the back corner of Gage Park, it will mean a different layout for the soccer fields for the remainder of the season. So tonight be prepared for things to look a little different! See you tonight!
Happy long weekend everyone! Just a quick reminder that this program is run entirely by volunteers, at cost. We want to provide a great soccer experience to kids in the east end, and we will keep working hard to make that possible. Like this post to show a big thank-you to all our volunteers!
Hi everyone! There will be soccer tomorrow evening even though a festival is being set up. Just be aware that there will likely be no parking available, so please walk or bike if you can. You may be able to find parking on a nearby street.
