General information page for prospective students wishing to learn Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Modern. Ages taught range from 3 years to Adults.
The School’s aim is to provide a professional and caring environment for those who wish to pursue a career in dance or for a child dancing for enjoyment as an out of school activity. The school was established in April 2002. Since then there has been a steady growth of students throughout the school. Lessons are easily accessible with a wide choice of venues in and around Bath (Batheaston, Bathampton, Larkhall and Widcombe) especially for parents with younger children. Structured classes enable the child’s progress to be monitored. Ballet is taught following The Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) syllabus. The Modern/Jazz and Tap follow The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (I.S.T.D.) Syllabus. The school recognises that there are different levels of learning and tries its best to accommodate this, always endeavouring to bring out the best in each individual child whilst making it fun and boosting their confidence. In the past few years, students of the school have taken part in many activities. These include School Shows, Pantomimes, various Summer schools, Fetes and community events, in-house Choreographic competitions and graded examinations sessions with students obtaining a high standard of results. Although there are several examination sessions throughout the year, it is you and your child’s choice whether to take part in examinations.
