The Dash4Dignity is a, 5K run or 1 mile walk, community event entering its fourth year. The Dash4Dignity community event is affiliated with the Berea City School District.

Description

Run History: The 3rd Annual Dash4Dignity took place on Saturday, May 10, 2014. The run was organized to help a local man, Jason Suplita, who is battling aggressive neurological Lyme disease, and an increasing amount of medical bills. Our run raised $9,620.18 and ALL of it went to Jason and his wife to help with their medical expenses. The 2nd Annual 5K community run was organized in memory of Stan Bugarcic and local triathlete who passed away while competing in a triathlon in August 2012. The event was also organized to help the SADS Foundation. Our 2nd Annual run raised $6,500 and had close to 400 participants. The run began in May 2012 and raised $4500. The run supported The Eleonore Rocks Foundation, and Chardon High School. Thanks to the efforts of the Roehm students, The Eleonore Rocks Foundation received a check for $3500, which they matched, and were able to donate two rocking chairs to Southwest General Health Center, and a check for $6100 for the SWGHC’s “Building the Future” construction project. After the February 27, 2012 tragedy at Chardon High School, the students of Roehm decided to donate a portion of the runs proceeds to Chardon High. We sent a check for $1,000 to the staff and students of Chardon to help with the healing process. This community event has been met with great success and a tremendous amount of support from the Berea City School District, the staff and students of Middleburg Heights Junior High School, and our Northeast Ohio neighborhoods. We have received a great deal of financial support from our corporate sponsors. Mark Saturday, April 25, 2015 on your calendars and plan to make a "dash for dignity" as a Titan.
