We are a full service repair facility, performing everything from oil changes and brakes, to computer diagnostics, and much, much more! Diversified Auto has been servicing the local area for 12 years. Started in 2004 by the owner Alex Deus, Diversified Auto has continued to grow each year since we now employ 3 full time technicians and expanded our services to include Rhode Island State Inspections. It's unfortunate that companies like Autozone, Jiffy lube etc.. are allowed to advertise a "Free Diagnostic test " for people's Check engine lamp coming on. There is no " Diagnosing " of any sort going on at parts stores ! Sure, they hook up a code reader to your car , read a trouble code and then proceed to sell you a part, only to have your little " check engine light " come back on a few days later with the exact same trouble code. We see this pretty much every day !! What they fail to tell you is that a "trouble code " basically just gives a direction as to a particular issue or system. The " check engine light" first came on cars back in the early 80"s, back then you had a handful of parts or sytems that could turn on the light, pretty much something had to be completly dead to turn the light on.. Does anyone wonder why kids today spend 20-30k to attend Trade schools like New England Tech if all auto technicians really do is plug in this " Magical " little tool and it tells them whats wrong with a vehicle ??? LOL... Guess ive been wasting all my money for the past 25 yrs on Equiptment and training, all i really need is the little 200$ " Code Reader " from autozone and I can Diagnose/ and repair all those Check engine lights correctly !! Its a scam to sell you parts, thats all
