Elham Sajed, Psy.D. earned her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the John F Kennedy University. She completed her pre-doctoral residency/ internship training at the Institute of Multicultural Counseling and Education Services. She also gained experiences in the areas of Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Neuropsychological Assessment, Dual Diagnosis, Couple Therapy, and Family Therapy. Dr. Sajed is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Iranian Psychological Association of America (IPAA). Dr. Sajed provides psychological services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. She enjoys working with adults to help reduce stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms that are often associated with life transitions such as marriage, divorce, grief, fertility issues, parenting, and career changes. She also enjoys working with older adolescents in the areas of managing peer pressure, developing social relationships, improving family communication, and setting academic/employment goals. Dr. Sajed provides psychotherapy for couples and families in both English and Farsi. “With empathy, care, and dedicating time, I assist people to draw on their strengths, to learn to be effective problem-solvers and good communicators, and to gain a sense of control, meaning, and wholesome relatedness” says Dr. Elham Sajed, Psy.D.
