The East Hanover Cooperative Nursery School has been providing excellent preschool education since 1986. Our school was founded by parents of young children. We have been located in the Kitchell Presbyterian Church for over 25 years. We are a cooperative nursery school with a fully certified staff of warm, caring, teachers who create an optimum learning environment for every child. The EH Coop is a non-secratarian, traditional preschool. We offer the lowest rates in the area with flexible tuition plans. Classes are 1/2 day sessions for ages 3,4, and 5. What is a COOP you ask? The EH Coop is a "large family" in a school environment where teachers and parents work together to create a nurturing and supportive environment for all, but most importantly our CHILDREN. Co-oping is unique because it gives parents a way to be involved in the day to day operations of our school. We encourage every parent to volunteer the best of their skills and work together for the greater good of our school and children. What do we believe? We believe that children learn first and foremost through play. Our program is designed to promote emotional, social, intellectual and physical growth for all of our children. At EH Coop we offer well-balanced programs to meet the needs of our children according to their age and development, while preparing them for what lies ahead in their upcoming school years. At the EH Coop every child is "loved and special" and treated as an individual by our warm and carefully handpicked teachers. Our teachers and staff firmly believe that "Play is a Child's Work" and that learning and friendship go hand and hand. All of our children our treated as unique individuals who work and grow at their own pace. At the EH Coop we are advocates for all of our children.
