excessiveoils.com provides you with a little peek into one of the corners of the mind of artist/writer Jason B Marquis In the fall of 2001, while living in the South of Spain, artist Jason B Marquis was experimenting with highly diluted oil based paints when he decided to stop using a brush. By laying the canvas (usually a plate of glass or plexi-glass, for low surface tension) perfectly flat and applying the paint drop by drop, color by color, and letting the paint flow of it's own volition he found that he was able to create works of art that captured the emotions (usually inspired by music) he was never able to capture with a brush.
