Gallery One Ellleven

at 111 South 3rd Street, Leesville

One plank in the GALLERY ONE EIIIEVEN mission statement is to enhance the visual arts education in Vernon Parish. Towards that end, we are constantly looking for opportunities to involve NSU and local artists, art students and the community.  The October exhibit at the gallery is a step towards that work. GALLERY ONE EIIIEVEN in the Leesville Main Street District will host an opening reception this Saturday evening at 7:00 for "PAINTED DESERT: WHAT WE DID ON OUR SUMMER VACATION".  The public is invited to come and enjoy painting, drawing, photography and sculpture influenced by a week on site at Ghost Ranch, New Mexico.     The works are by local and regional artists and art students that participated in this yearly trip, sponsored by the NSU Art Department. Faculty and artists will be on hand at the reception to discuss the works, and to bring to the area the opportunities provided by the NSU Art Department.
