Despite all the years of education and hard work, most of the students are unemployed, getting rejected or work for dissatisfying salaries. The reasons are mainly lack of experience, inadequate skills or insufficient certificates. The gap between industry requirements and a student’s skills set is huge. GIGINDIA started with a thought to bridge this gap. A thought to make a difference in students’ life by giving them opportunities they’re deprived of. It was co-founded by Sahil Sharma and Aditya Shirole in 2015 with the intention of helping students do great in their career and getting them paid internships and jobs- on & off campus. Our journey began from PICT & Cummins and now GigIndia is active across 50+ campuses in Pune with 50K+ users and 30+ collaborators. From collaborations with companies like Alibaba, Xiaomi, Mahindra, OLA, Radio Mirchi, Bigo, Krazy Bee, Synerzip, Google developers and so on; GigIndia now helps students get a chance to realize what they are great at, improve their skills, boost their CV, get paid internships, student offers and jobs off campus. Our mission is simple. We aim to connect students of India with Top Brands by providing a way to- 1. Micro-job opportunities by Top Brands for students to Earn Instantly. 2. Work Experience by Interning at Top Brands. 3. Guidance in building Projects.
