Description

Our group, the University of Illinois Alumni Club of Houston (or the Houston Illini Club) has dedicated this site to keeping our members and fellow Illini informed of the activities of the organization. We are open for membership to all of the over 3,600 University of Illinois alumni in the Houston Metropolitan area. Our purpose is to: Unite our members based upon our common Illinois heritage; Serve as a positive force in the Houston community; Provide scholarships to local area high school students who choose to attend the University of Illinois ($10 of each member's annual dues goes towards the club's scholarship fund). May 2012 note: See our scholarships page, as Houston Illini Club is pleased to announce that Samantha E. Holt, a May 2012 graduate of St. Pius X High School, is the recipient of the Club's 2012-2013 scholarship in the amount of $1,250. If you are a graduate of the University of Illinois (UIUC, UIC or UIS) and reside in the Houston area, please join or renew with the club. Annual dues are only $20 (single) or $25 (married), and membership provides significant discounts for a variety of club events. Finally, please contact me with your ideas or suggestions. Go Illini!
