I am a local lender with over ten years of experience. I am proud to say I've seen the ups and downs of this business - something I never thought I'd know in the "go-go-go" years of 2003-2007. I help people buy their home, not get a mortgage - "home" implies so much more and I think every single one of my customers appreciates all the extra steps I take. We feel education is SO important here at Freedom - I always tell my borrowers; "I don't pay your mortgage - you do." You should enjoy buying your house. I'll never forget my first house (admittedly, because I'm still in it) and I doubt my borrowers do, either. It's an experience; in excitement, in compromise and in patience - while I make a joke when I come to closings that "I'm the Money" (when asked for my name/who I am), my main job is to set and continually manage expectations so that buyers can hopefully have fun buying their house.
