About KPCHC: Konza Prairie Community Health Center is a not-for-profit charitable organization and one of several hundred Community Health Centers partially funded by the federal government. One of the chief objective of the Community Health Center is to make it a place where people want to come for their health care. We seek to remove any barriers that hinder our clients from obtaining the services they need. Our services are available to all, regardless of race, creed, national origin, language, gender, or financial status. Because Konza receives some federal financial support, we can offer a sliding fee scale to those who qualify. This scale makes health care affordable to people with, or without insurance. Find all the care you need, under one roof! KPCHC’s integrated support system gives patients the complete network of care you need to be healthy. Our clients can access primary and preventive health care, dental services and mental health and substance abuse treatment provided in a compassionate, respectful, and professional manner. We have convenient routine and same-day appointments for working professionals as well as a laboratory, radiology, and an immunization clinic onsite so you don’t have to travel for routine lab work, x-rays, or vaccines. Our facility is staffed with dentists, physicians, mid-levels, and nurses, all of whom work together to offer you the best care possible and our goal is to help you develop lasting relationships with our providers to ensure you get the care you need. Our History: In 1994, Konza Prairie Community Health Center was formed to meet the unmet health care needs of the Junction City/Geary County and surrounding areas. Our clinic is governed by a Board of Directors made up of local individuals, a majority of which are KPCHC clients. We have medical and dental clinics located both in Junction City, KS and Manhattan, Kansas, serving patients living in a five-county radius and are continuously trying to expand the services offered better serve our community. Payments, Insurance, and Medication: KPCHC accepts most insurance plans including, but not limited to Blue Cross Blue Shield, Met Life, Medicaid, Medicare and Tri-Care. KPCHC also accepts clients with no insurance to ensure our services are available to everyone. KPCHC has an on-site Affordable Care Act Navigator to assist the community with finding affordable health care for themselves and their families. We also have an Outreach Coordinator to assist patients in determining if they qualify for programs like KanCare (Medicaid). As part of the Low Cost Prescription Program, Konza is partnered with Walgreens Pharmacy, in Manhattan, to manage our 340B Prescription Medication Program. All of our patients qualify for this benefit. KPCHC also provides a Medication Assistance Program in which we will work closely with you, your provider, and the prescription drug manufacturers to assist you in receiving your medicine free or almost free.
