Operated by "Countess" Lulu White, a woman of intuitive business savvy, she advertsed her popular "ladies" as to have a "special" gft from nature. The Mahogany Hall was originally called the Hall of Mirrors and today mirrors adorn the stage and the VIP seating area, in remembrance of the old one, and also to assure a view of the entertainers from every direction. The fan window over the entrance evokes the famous emblazoned window of the original main entrance of the old Mahagony Hall, locate on Basin St. Jazz was a big part of the history of Storyville.
