In 1718, a plot of land was granted to a family on the outskirts of the bustling new village of Georgetown, South Carolina. Construction began on the main house fifty years later, and soon after, Mansfield Plantation blossomed into one of the largest rice plantations in South Carolina. Today, Mansfield Plantation covers nearly 1,000 acres and is recognized as "one of the most architecturally intact rice plantation in South Carolina." Our unique Bed & Breakfast is situated on a beautiful 20 acre working Bluegrass Horse farm. We are 10 minutes from the Kentucky Horse Park, a national attraction, and just 12 minutes from downtown Lexington.  Jordan Farm is conveniently located near famous horse farms, and we will gladly arrange for our guests to visit them. We have many fine restaurants nearby as well as many historic attractions.  Children over the age of 8 are welcome at Jordan Farm with parental supervision. Please leave your pets at home. We are a non-smoking facility.  Our guests are welcome to walk anywhere they wish on the farm. You never know what you might experience at Jordan Farm; some of our guests have even seen a mare foaling. Besides plenty of grassy fields in which you may enjoy a leisurely walk.  Take a stroll around the pond, sit in the gazebo and enjoy the quiet tranquility of the Bluegrass countryside.  Jordan Farm is a short drive from the Kentucky Horse Park, several major horse farms, and other attractions in the Central Kentucky area.
