Location, Location, Location - On the peaceful and tranquil non-flooding Trent and Mersey Canal, halfway between Fradley Junction and Trent Lock/Sawley, in the heart of England’s canal country, our location offers great cruising routes plus easy road access, being minutes from the junction of the A38 and A50, with Derby, Burton and Nottingham being an easy drive. First Class Facilities– Three private facilities blocks for moorers offering twelve showers, fifteen loos and three laundries; 16A individually metered electricity to each berth; full length jetties; secure car parking near all the berths; electronic security gates; all roads laid in Tarmac; disabled friendly; CCTV. Environment – nine islands/promontories were added to the existing Willington Lake to create a series of mini-marinas; soft banks planted with wildflowers and reed beds; wide open water space for easy manoeuvring; easy walking distance to the attractive canal side village of Willington; bus services on Findern Lane and rail services in Willington.

How To Get to Mercia Marina

Directions By car Mercia Marina is very simple to find, from either the A38 or A50 turn off at the A50/A38 junction. Take the B5008 direction Willington. At the traffic lights turn left on to Findern Lane. Shortly after the railway crossing you will find the entrance to Mercia Marina on your left. By rail take the train from Derby station or from Burton on Trent Station to Willington, exiting at Willington and following the Towpath towards Findern. The marina can be accessed from the white footbridge. By bus catch either the Derby to Burton on Trent bus via Findern, Willington and Repton, or from Burton on Trent take the bus via Newton Solney, Repton and Willington. Both services stop very close to the marina
