Founded by members of the Methodist Church in 1943, MHA is a charity providing care, accommodation and support services for 16,000 older people throughout Britain. We are one of the most respected charitable care providers in the sector and amongst the largest charities in Britain, providing services to older people for over70 years. We support; • 4,500 older people living in our care homes, many receiving specialist dementia or nursing care • 2,500 older people living independently in purpose-built apartments, with access to social and leisure facilities and flexible care should they need it • 9,000 older people living independently in their own homes with the support of our Live at Home schemes across the UK. Our services are delivered by 7,000 dedicated staff and enhanced by the commitment of 4,000 volunteers.
