Our vision is one of support, utilizing and incorporating holistic approaches which may enhance lifestyle and wellbeing for each patient. As a result, we provide education, tools and support to assist in developing and maintaining optimal health for a lifetime. We address needs and desires of each individual. These may include plans to cope with the challenges of chronic pain, achieving hormone balance, education and assistance for weight management, smoking cessation and choices for maintaining best constitutional health, assist with stressors, improve work, school or sports skills. Her practice specializes in holistic health and wellness, healthy lifestyle (nutrition, weight management, smoking cessation, hormone balance and life coaching) and pain management. She has had experience as a Nurse Practitioner in these areas as well as urgent care and retail medicine. Delia earned her Masters of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 2009 from the University of Phoenix. She is a certified hypnotherapist, Reiki Master, educated in EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), and certified in use of essential oils for healing. She incorporates these into her model of patient care. Before becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2009, Delia spent many years as a registered nurse in the areas of women’s and children’s health, clinical research, patient education, home health, case management and patient preparation for gastrointestinal procedures. She developed an interest for alternative healing and complementary medicine from the time she began her first nursing position as Licensed Practical Nurse. A native of Tucson, Arizona, Delia has an appreciation for the beautiful sunsets, clear skies, warm days and unique nature surrounding her valley home in the Sonoran desert. Practice Philosophy Delia has a passion for patient education and believes strongly that it is vital to empowering each patient with the proper tools in achieving a full, healthy lifestyle. She practices comprehensive healthcare, integrating alternative approaches with traditional Western Medicine. Delia believes in functional medicine and that the concept of less medication is the best “starting place” for care. She encourages lifestyle modifications and utilizes an individual approach to optimize each patient’s health for body, mind and spirit. She loves what she does and continues to make prevention, wellness and evidence-based practice her professional priorities. Delia is dedicated to her profession and to building an open, trusting relationship with each and every patient. As a holistic nurse practitioner, she offers care and comfort to patients through various modalities, helping each to attain their own ideal of wellness by taking active participation in their healthcare.
