If you are ages 12-18 you might want to check this out! Completely FREE! Sea Cadets take part in the following training opportunities: Sailing Marksmanship Naval firefighting Marching Band Seamanship Military drill team Orienteering / Geocaching Biathalon (Coming Soon!) We train regularly on Wednesday nights from 6:45-9:30 from September to June. The Royal Canadian Sea Cadets are a non-profit organization funded by the Department of National Defense in partnership with the Navy League of Canada. All young adults age 12-18 are welcome to join and participate in amazing training opportunities. All equipment, uniforms and training are provided free of charge. Cadets also have the opportunity to train in one of the many Cadet Summer Training Centers for up to six weeks of paid training during the summer months.

The Sea Cadet program is part of a national Cadet program which is funded by the federal government and partnerships with the Army, Air and Navy Leagues of Canada. While Cadets learn about the Army, Air Force and Navy they are not in military and can leave the program at any time. As Sea Cadets, we like to have fun learning about naval heritage, traditions and what the Canadian Navy is all about. Our program develops strong leadership skills, good citizenship and physical fitness. It teaches us valuable life-skills like teamwork, self-discipline, organization and effective communication. The same skills that help us be successful in school and become positive influences in our communities. Many of us have made life-long friends with cadets we have met through joint training activities, competitions and experiences at summer training centres.
