Welcome all Silver Blade Regatta Participants! San Diego Canoe and Kayak Team in conjunction with USA Canoe Kayak is very excited to be hosting the Silver Blade Regatta at the USA OLYMPIC TRAINING CENTER in Chula Vista California on April 6th 2013 IMPORTANT NOTE: This is also a very exciting opportunity for Surf Ski, Stand Up Racers, beginner Canoe and Kayakers to be a part of the Olympic Movement. The Silver Blade Regatta will be run in the same way as a National Team Trials in your sport. Consequently you should not be late for your race as the starter will not wait if you are not on the start line, in the correct lane, with the correct # and at the correct time. We will be providing numbers and number holders for you to attach to your craft. You will need a number on your craft that corresponds to the lane that you are assigned. Registration is 1000-1100am and we will be holding a mandatory Pre-Race meeting at 1100am on Saturday where you will be given your lane assignments, last minute race instructions & races will start promptly at 1130am. Please go to our website www.SDCKT.net for a race schedule plus driving and parking instructions for the event. Finally - all paperwork and payments have to be complete for you to race on the lake. Checks should be made payable to SDCKT. Thank you for your participation in the Silver Blade Regatta we look forward to seeing you on the water! ******************************************************************** Open Class - will race 200m and 2000m in the following divisions: K1 C1 OC1 Surfski Stand Up Men 14" or under Stand Up Women 12'6" or under 14 & under Class - will race in the following division: Lightning Kayaks Stand Up 12'6" or under Tentative Schedule for Saturday May 12th, 2012. 10:00 - 1100am Registration 1100am Mandatory pre race meeting 10:00 - 11:30 am: 200m prelim heats 12:00 - 12:30 pm: 2000m Finals 1:30 - 2:30 pm: 200m Finals 3:00 pm: 3 person relay for SUP or youth Lightning Kayaks The number of entrants will be limited (due to time constraints and the number of lanes available) Registration is will be available at www.sdckt.net.
