Smash Palace is a bar and burger joint in High Street, Christchurch.
Smash Palace specialises in local beer and wine. What started as a temporary solution following the 2011 earthquakes has grown into a Christchurch institution. We take our burgers seriously and all items are scratch made on site. Sitting in the middle of an earthquake-ravaged landscape, the bar is a great place to see how the new Christchurch is developing. Don't miss our world-famous Bike Night every Thursday.

Burger special: roast sirloin with jalapeño sour cream, paprika battered gherkins, onion rings, lettuce and mayo
Don't forget St Patrick's Day on Tuesday. We've got the band back together to play the same set five times throughout the night. If you haven't had the pleasure of listening to The Old Irish Drunks... then you're in for a treat. Described by Dave Imlay as "The worst band I've ever seen" we have expanded the band to include Jock on Banjo and my mum on tenor guitar. Tim was fired from there band for being too drunk to stand in 2009. He claims he quit but I clearly remember firing him. We've also got a bunch of Irish dancers so it should be a hell of a party. Festivities kick off at 6pm. Bring your dancing shoes.
Burger special: beef burger with paprika battered mushrooms, BBQ mayo, lettuce and bacon.
Hey. We're sponsoring a race at the Motorcycle Grand Prix at Ruapuna this weekend. Greg will be out on the Denny Hume corner with a marquee, barbeque and chilli bin to keep all your beer cold. Stop by and hang out with him or her will get lonely. Good luck to Scout Fletcher. We've got a couple of spare tickets left, so get in touch with Greg if you want one.
Hello everybody. Opening up again this Thursday January 8. Opening for Bike Night which should be the best yet as Greg May won't be there. So let's all have a few beers and finish the Cagiva restoration for him. We hope you all had a good holiday and that 2015 has started well.
