What is GOLD FILLED? Gold-filled is composed of a solid sheet of 14k gold bonded with heat and pressure to a sheet of bronze. When compared to gold plated Jewellery, Gold-Filled is a far superior product. Care and cleaning Although Gold Filled jewellery will not tarnish, it will get dirty. Makeup, perfumes, moisturiser and perspiration transfer to the metal and need to be washed off. Do not use chemical Jewellery cleaners or dips. Do not wear jewellery while in a pool, or spa. Chlorine is a powerful oxidising agent, and will tarnish silver. Wearing bracelets on the non-dominant wrist will preserve the surface quality and protect jewellery from scratches, or sharp blows. Bracelets will retain their shape and original finish. A quick scrub with a nail brush whilst in the shower is the easiest way to keep the bracelets clean and the stones sparkling. (Plastic bristles will not scratch or damage the surface of metal, Gemstones or pearls)
